Providing access to education and development to the people of Moretele

Study Grant for 2021 Academic Year

The office of the Mayor invites candidates to apply for study grant to be awarded for the 2021 academic year.
Study grant will be awarded to undergraduates within Moretele Local Municipality Areas who are financially needy, academically performing well and have completed Grade 12.

How do I apply for a Study Grant?
Applicants are required to attach the following certified documents to the completed application form:
  • ● Grade 12 results or recent academic record

  • ● Certified copy of ID document

  • ● Letter of admission or proof of admission

  • ● Statement of fees

  • ● Proof of parent’s / guardian income

  • ● Proof of residence



Application forms are available at the Moretele Local Municipality Offices and at ward councillor’s offices.

Completed application forms must be hand delivered to: Moretele Local Municipality Offices Office of the Mayor – Special Project Unit, 4065B Mogodi Section, Mathibestad.
